Seth Casteel is pretty widely known as ‘The Underwater Dog Guy’.  His work has been all over the place recently.  I reckon’ it is because his love of animals shows through in every image.

You’ve probably seen these photographs before, but as they put such a smile on my face on this cold and wet Sydney day, I thought you may feel the same way…

The most expensive dog bed in the world!

You know those silly stock questions that are often asked? Things like, “If your house/flat/apartment was burning down, what three/five/ten things would you grab?” What the asker really means is, “Are there any (material) things that you are especially fond of?”

On my list (which possibly may have more than ten items), would definitely be my orange Rasta Pouf designed by Paulo Haubert for Avec Arcade. Hand made in Brazil, the Rasta collection of poufs are aesthetically fabulous, fun and it seems that everybody loves them.  Including poodles, toddlers and my Mum.

I got my Pouf a few years ago from Space Furniture in Sydney at 84 O’Riordan St, Alexandria, NSW 2015, but I’m sure the team at Arcade would be more than accommodating if you needed to locate a retailer in your neck of the woods!

I don’t know what it is about Scandinavia, but so much lust-worthy design originates there.    Back when I lived in London a million years ago, I was friendly with three Danish girls and they were all fabulously stylish and forward thinking women.  Perhaps there’s something in the water?

Silly, joyful, graphic, quirky, stylised – these are all words that Camilla Ebdrup and Camilla Korschen use to describe their Lucky Boy Sunday brand (established on a Sunday in August 2007 in Copenhagen).

They have created a whole family of beautiful cuddly toys, all knitted in Bolivia out of 100% baby alpaca.  I can’t decide which one I want to adopt…

I (electronically) popped into one of my most covetable retail spots today. Imagine my wonder when I saw they now have such a following, they ship internationally!

Squint Limited is a most fabulous furniture design company which produces wonderfully colourful bespoke furniture and home accessories.  It’s unique. It’s joyful.  It makes me smile just to look at pictures of their creations…
